IRC Codes:

The following visual interpretation from the Stairway Manufacturers Association (SMA) pertains to the new 2000 International Residential Code (IRC). The new IRC building codes relate only to state, counties, municipalities, villages, and cities which have adopted the new code. It is imperative that our customers check which stair related codes are being enforced in their area. Symmetrical Stair, Inc. cannot be held accountable or responsible for customers' code requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the homeowner, builder, and/or architect to check and comply with local building codes where the home or commercial building is being constructed.
